The Juniors Beach Ball volleyball tournaments are well-organized, reasonably priced doubles tourneys for v-ball players familiar with the standard beach tourney format and its rules.  We employ experienced staff to ensure these tourneys are well organized.  And we provide great prizes for the winners.

In addition to the Juniors Division, we also run adult mens, womens and co-ed 2’s divisions in our North Avenue Beach Ball Tourneys. (r. 16U 2010 Champs Jenna & Alleigh)

Juniors Divisions:
Sign-up is based solely on age
14U: 14 & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, 1996
16U: 16 & Under - Born on or after Sept. 1, 1994
18U: 18 & Under - Born on or after Sept. 1, 1992 or
born after Sept. 1, 1991 & were in high school


Our age divisions follow the AAU classifications. 
Please note, athletes may always play up a division.

Advance Registration:
Registration is through our online shopping cart; 1st come, 1st served, till filled.  Registration begins 1 - 2 weeks prior to each event and runs through Thursday, the latest, preceding each event. 

Remember, registration is 1st come, 1st served till filled; so if you want to secure a spot, be sure to sign up as early as possible. 

Please note, we absolutely do not accept walk-ons.

Registration Process:
Once you pay, you'll received two emails; the 1st is a receipt, the second (a few hrs. later) will be your entry ticket/waiver form.  Be sure to sign the waiver and present this entry ticket at the registration desk at check-in between 9:30 - 10 the day of the tourney.  You'll then receive your court assignment.  Play will begin shortly thereafter. 


Tourney Check-in: 9:30 - 10:00 a.m. 

Tourney Duration:  The tourney starts at 10 and will end at around 2:30 - 3:00 for most teams.  The tourney last longer for teams that make the playoffs.


Format: In general, the format is round-robin pool play among 5 teams, each match is 1 game to 25 by rally score.  The top 2 teams from each pool advance to a single-elimination playoff round.  This format may be modified slightly for 4 or 6 team pools.  (r: 16U 2010 Champs Sami & Annika)

Team Prizes: For all Juniors, we'll be offering trophies and/or medals for the top 3 teams.  The 1st place team will receive the coveted Beach Ball Cup.

Additionally, the top 3 girls teams from each division in our AAU-sanctioned events will receive bids to participate in the Junior Olympics to be held the end of July in New Orleans.

Refunds: Tourney fees are non-refundable.  With rainouts, teams will receive credit for a future tourney.  The credit will be good for 5 years.

If the weather is iffy the morning of the tourney, we'll send team captains an email alert.  Before coming to the beach, be sure to check your email for our weather updates to see if the tourney is delayed or canceled.  We'll also post delays and cancellation notices on this website. 

If players have to endure a storm that creates a long delay, we give full or partial credits, depending on the duration of the storm.  Players will receive a 15% credit for each ½ hour, starting once it's apparent the skies won't quickly clear up. 

Qualifications: Players must be AAU members, they must know the standard beach volleyball rules and they must supply their own volleyballs.  Further, they must obtain a parent or guardian's approval - that's accomplished by having that person sign our waiver/entry ticket.
